Nationals from the EEA, Switzerland and other doctors with EC rights, who hold an acceptable primary medical qualification from a medical school outside the EEA or Switzerland
You have three months to submit your application from when you start it online. If you have not submitted your application after three months you will have to start a new one. Instructions on setting up your online account are given at the end of this guidance.
This page is to help doctors who:
Have qualified at a medical school outside of an EEA country or Switzerland,
Are a national of a member state of the EEA or Switzerland or a doctor with European Community rights (opens in a new window)
AND
Hold an acceptable primary medical qualification
Please be aware that, under this route, there is no automatic right to registration with a licence to practise. Registration with a licence to practise is at the discretion of the GMC.
Your application will be an online application. At the end of this guidance you will be given a link to enter our secure web portal which is called GMC Online.
